Oinos Adam Refosco, 750 ml

Refosco was one of the first varieties planted in Adam's vineyards in 2002. They are now convinced that this variety can give excellent results in their terroir. The grapes for this wine are hand-picked and strictly selected on the vine and on arrival at the winery to ensure that only the best are used to make Refosco. 14 months in new French oak barrels will give the wine spicy complexity and great texture. The wine has a deep ruby colour with purple highlights and thick, slow-moving legs. The nose is explosive, showing enticing aromas of cherries, strawberries and plums on a background of sweet spices and vanilla. On the palate, the concentrated, juicy fruit character and silky ripe tannins create a round mouthful, supported by a fruity aftertaste that persists.

This is a versatile wine that can be paired with a wide range of dishes, on various occasions. Try it with barbecued meats, spaghetti in spicy red sauce, a nice juicy hamburger or a platter of ripe cheeses.
