The Greek version of the French cabernet sauvignon - the king of red grapes. Grown on the fertile soil of Messenicolas, along the foothills of the Agrafa Mountains at an altitude of 700 metres near Lake N. Plastiras, this grape comes into its own in the most unique, light and aromatic way. In the glass, the small red forest fruits, gooseberries and wild cherries, along with the characteristic green pepper aroma of cabernet sauvignon, tell stories forgotten over the centuries, like the story of this uniquely cosmopolitan grape. An intense, full-bodied wine, with strong tannins, a long finish and the deep red colour of blood. With a strong flavour and distinct aromas, this wine is the Greek version of the legendary Cabernet Sauvignon that seduces even the most demanding oenophile. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.
Goes best with winter dishes such as game, grilled red meat, beef stews and spicy cheeses.
