Biblia chora Plagios merlot, 750 ml

Plagios Merlot is a regional expression of carefully selected grapes of the French Merlot variety, subjected to the microclimate of Pangeon. It is vinified conventionally with a long maceration period. It underwent malolactic fermentation after which it was aged for 16 months in new French oak barrels. This full-bodied, dry red wine has a dense mahogany red colour. Serve chilled in the cellar at 16-18°C or mature easily for 10 years. The nose entices with typical varietal aromas of red fruit, especially black cherries, pleasantly enveloped by scents of cedar, nutmeg and vanilla. Expect a beautiful wine with a fruity core of soft plum aromas and a hint of dark chocolate on a pleasantly long finish. The strong tannins are well integrated into the firm structure that gives it great storage potential.

Pairings:

Plagios goes well with various stews and grilled meats with spicy sauces and fatty cheeses.
