Elma produces the first Greek chewing gum with Chios mastic and is still as authentic as when it was first marketed in 1958.
Elma produces chewing gum naturally with a flavour and colour that can vary from batch to batch as it is made with natural ingredients, without artificial sweeteners. The gum has the characteristic taste of mastiha and is combined with other natural, classic flavours such as spearmint. Elma chewing gum is also gluten-free.
Mastic is the resin that comes from the mastic tree. In the European Union, the name is protected (PDO) and may only be used for mastic originating from the Greek island of Chios. Mastic has many health benefits, it is anti-inflammatory in the stomach, improves the acidity of the stomach and works well against swelling of blood vessels and lymphatic vessels.
