History

In 1963, a small pasteurisation unit in Ioannina started collecting fresh milk from farmers in the area to then offer it to residents. Dodoni then consisted of six associations of agricultural cooperatives from Epirus. Today, Dodoni is the largest company in feta and dairy production in Greece, exporting products to 45 countries around the world. Every year, the factories process 70,000 tonnes of sheep and cow milk. This is used to make the well-known feta, yogurt and hard cheeses, among others.

About Dodoni:

Dodoni is originally from Epiros, in north-western Greece, bordering Albania. This region is known for its rich vegetation and biodiversity: it is one of the most pristine areas of Greece. For almost 60 years, Dodoni has worked with artisanal farmers in the area. The farmers come from as many as 500 different villages in the area and collect the milk from their sheep and goats together. The animals have complete freedom to graze in the fresh grass and herbs that grow abundantly in the meadows. Dodoni's products are free of artificial colours, fragrances and flavourings, and are produced with passion and knowledge dating back to ancient Greece, and you can taste it!
