Greek Kalamari, Anchovies or Dorade are indispensable in Greek cuisine. A fine grilled fish with a small glass of ouzo or fried kalamari on the terrace by the sea are reminiscent of a Greek summer. Now it is also possible in the Netherlands. Frozen Greek fish with a quality, fine flavour. Combine with a glass of Ouzo or Tsipouro and you are just like being in Greece.
Fish in Greece is essential. Not surprisingly, Greece is surrounded by sea filled with delicious fish. There are also a large number of islands that do a lot of fishing. You can eat fried or fried fish in any taverna. Greeks often eat fish for lunch or dinner. Small anchovies or kalamari are excellent for mezedes. A freshly caught dorado grilled can't be resisted by most Greeks at dinner.
Most famous fish species are anchovies (gavros / γαύρος), Kalamari (καλαμάρια), dorade (τσιπούρα), sea bass (λαβράκια) and red mullet (πμαρμπούνια). Hence, all these fish can be found in our range. Most of these fish are farmed or caught in the Aegean Sea, the sea between Greece and Turkey.
Greek fish can be prepared and eaten in many ways. One of the combinations we recommend is a freshly fried dorado with Radikia, the wild leafy vegetable. Squeeze a lemon over this and relive the unique holiday feeling in the Netherlands. Also, much of our range is suitable for with mezedes (Greek appetisers). The small deep-fried kalamaris and anchovies fit best here. Combine them with other small appetisers while enjoying a glass of Ouzo, Tsipouro or Retsina: a holy combination. The best way is to put the fish on the grill or barbecue in the garden but they can also be pan-fried.
