Greeks love filo pastry, which is why it is often found in Greek cuisine. Think of the popular dishes such as Tyropita and Baklava. Many Greek sweets are made with filo pastry and it used to be a tradition for confectioners to make their own filo pastry by hand. Unfortunately, there are only a few confectioners left in Greece who can do this. To make things easier for you, we have brought different kinds of filo pastry to the Netherlands. You will find different thicknesses of filo pastry in our assortment. The thin variety is excellent for making your own sweets like Baklava, Tyropita, Spanakopita, Galaktobouriko and many more. The thicker variety is more suitable for making savoury cakes.
In our assortment you will also find Greek puff pastry (Sfoliata) and Kadaifi. The Kadaifi dough actually speaks for itself: this dough consists of thin threads for making the sweet Kadaifi. The puff pastry has endless applications, but can also be used for Spanakopita and Tyropita, among others.
